" I write on behalf of my son William Gwinnell to say thank you very much for your recent letter and cheque for £400 dated 10 April 2025, which was received on 17 April and has been banked today.
William has done exceptionally well this year, he competed in the Under 16s and under 18s European snooker championships in March in Turkey and has competed in 8 Welsh Snooker under 16s events this season (which started in September 2024 and ended recently).
William won all 8 events, which everyone at Welsh Snooker believes is a new record, and on 5 April William won event 8, the championship, to become Welsh under 16s snooker champion.
He will compete for Wales next at the Home Internationals in Leeds in August 2025 and your funding will pay for the costs of that week, including the costs of the hotel.
