Eleanor Lawrence-Preston Rowing

" Thank you for your letter regarding my awarded grant. I am so grateful to have this money to go towards my sporting costs.

As requested in the letter, here is a quick run down of my recent achievements in rowing. Winner of the GB February U19 trials, climbing from the 7th place finish I achieved at the previous trial in November. Winner of the National Sculling Head in a junior women's quad in March. Most recently is my selection to represent GB at Munich International regatta, where I will be competing alongside other U19 athletes from across the world. On the rowing machine, I established a new British record in the 15-16 5km, breaking the record I previously held, and have recently achieved a time of 6:56.7 for 2km. Not much to say about that besides the fact that going sub 7minutes is a huge personal milestone for me!

I've also attached a photo of me competing at the GB February U19 trials to this email.

I'll continue to keep you updated with my progress, with racing events happening practically every weekend from now until August for me, but I will also be posting all my results on my instagram @elshols007 if you would like to see what I'm doing there.

Once again a huge thankyou for the generosity of this grant, and for the belief in my potential. "

Thank you,

Eleanor
