Ardal Gorllewin Cymru / 40th Annual Golf Day
Another fantastic day held at Carmarthen Golf Club on Friday 19th August
The course was looking great and the weather very kind. 15 teams set off on a texas scramble which was enjoyed by all.
The Winners with a net score of 59.1 and representing Clay Shaw Butler were Chris Jones, Caerwyn Evans & Dylan Rees
Longest Drive was Alex Shefford representing Peter Lynn & Partners
Nearest Pin Tomas Davies representing JCP Solicitors
This year Eurig Lewis from Jackie Jones Menswear kindly donated a silver plate to be used as a winners perpetually trophy as well as a plate for this years winners. Together with the plate the winners won a 4 ball voucher for the Vale of Glamorgan kindly donated by Mr Dave Mason. The runners up won a 4 ball at Machynys kindly donated by Brynmor Williams of Thomas Carroll & Co.
There were too many raffle prizes to mention but a big thank you to all those companies and individuals who donated a prize and to those who sponsored a hole.
A final tally is yet to be completed but it was expected that an amount of circa £1900 was raised for the charity.

A big thank you to Carmarthen Golf Club for hosting the event and to Martin & Sandy for the catering and of course the hard work of the West Wales SACW team in organising and running the event. Special mention to Richard Gealy, Huw Roberts and Ken Morris.
A donation was made to Carmarthen Juniors section on behalf of SACW.
The next West Wales event is a lunch at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel on Friday 7th October.
