Peter Johnson is a retired freelance broadcaster and journalist who covered Wales and the world for more than forty years.
He worked as a newspaper journalist with the Western Mail in the 1970s before moving into broadcast news with BBC Cymru Wales.
He’s best known for a long-running stint as presenter of the breakfast radio news magazine Good Morning Wales and hosting the award-winning Eye on Wales
current affairs documentary series. Born in Cardiff, he "went north" to live in Pontypridd where he still supports the home rugby team. And where he acquired his nickname, Almost Famous.
